Located in the heart of downtown Beijing, our Happy House is a small, comfortable and relaxing place for travelers, particularly backpackers, with its family-like atmosphere and range of services offered by our English speaking staff.

Happy House is not only easy to get to but you will feel right at home the moment you step through the door ----Guests who are searching for the Happy House will find it a 3 minute walk East of Beijing Central Railway Station, it is less than a 10-minute walk from the local and airport shuttle buses and the subway station. It is also very close to Tian’an Men Square, the Forbidden City, the Wangfujing Shopping Street and the Temple of Heaven. There is also easy and efficient transport access to the Summer Palace, the Silk Market, the Pearl Market and the Sanlitun Bar Street etc.

OLYMPIC ACCESS

A short 30 minute ride on the subway from the subway station right next to our hostel will conveniently take you to the Olympic Park which contains the main venues including the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube.

Thanks to its centralized location, banks, restaurants (both western and Chinese food with expensive and inexpensive prices), grocery stores, supermarkets, hospitals, an international post office, parks, shopping malls, the train station, the airport shuttle bus station and so on can all be easily found here.

Though we are situated in the centre of town, there is beautiful green land and peaceful space alongside the old historic city wall of Beijing just behind our hostel. The Ming Dynasty Wall Relic Park will surprise you with its beautiful and serene atmosphere. After a long day walking or lazing around, you can also enjoy the peaceful environment within the house by having a drink of your choice while reading or talking with other guests in the quiet courtyard.
